I have a face and a fell off. Testing. Testing. One. Two. Three. My face fell off. All right. I think that worked out. And we are we are back with another episode of Beyond the Podcast of 1984. I was I was going to try to do an episode earlier. I was so hyped up, man. I was really, up the drink. Some really good, very black coffee. I was, very caffeinated. And I was like, man, I'm ready to go. And you know what I did? Oh, well, so here I am, rock you like a hurricane. Bizarre alien here again. Before I forget, a little bit of, a little tidbit here, I episode I did last season, whose opinion is Ginger? I, I can't believe I absolutely forgot to mention that, I have two tattoos of her. I got my first one. I was hanging out with my dear friend, Bill Mac. Rest in peace from arcane and magic. I used to hang out with him a lot. Almost every Sunday, I'd go down to his tattoo shop and, if he got busy or whatever, I'd leave. But, you know, there were times where we'd hang out. He'd. We'd watch a movie or something, hang out and just have a lot of laughs. Really cool guy. Well, one day we were hanging out and he just came round. He was, hey, man, I'd like to give you a tattoo. And I go, well, how much he goes, you know, it's good karma. I do it for friends. Free. I go, oh, wow. So long story short, I ended up, we designed the drawing together, and I was like, I want to get a tattoo of ginger. So he came up with a really cool, art of her. You know, I gave him kind of like, a rough sketch of her, and he drew it, and I got the tattoo one day, and I've had her on my left arm since 1996. And then kind of. I wish I could remember when I got my other tattoo, but I ended up getting another tattoo. Of her. And we decided when we were filming the high powered mutant. Documentary. I was going to get my second tattoo of her. Kind of like. Not really redone, but. Kind of like. Added more stuff to her because it was like her head down to her knees and the tattoo, she was she's nude or she's, you know, covering her. Chest and everything, but. She got her head tilted to the side. It's got kind of the major Motoko Kusanagi guy haircut, you know, the. Bob, which I think is really cute, but. Anyhow, long story short, Bill gave my friend Chris, wherever she is. I hope you're doing good. She she took off years ago. Anyhow, he gave her his blessing, and we kind of redesigned our. Took about a little over eight hours. Got that on film. And we just basically made her hair longer, gave her wings. I gave her long legs, boots, really long tail. You know, this is my my beautiful girl. Just even more beautiful. And, you know, and I was happy that Bill was cool with it. But, I just don't remember what year it was. I know it's been a long time. But, yeah, I have two tattoos over because I love her so much. Unfortunately, I have not had a dream about her in quite a while. I think I had. No, I did, I can't remember, I didn't even write it down. I had some dream. I think she showed up or. Something, and she was looking at me and I was like, oh, that made me really happy. So yeah, that was a little thing. I can't believe I, I didn't mention that before. I have a drawing her on the cover of any of my recordings in quite a while. I just decided, you know what? She's got a personal also, you know, and and some people think, oh, she's like your mask. I'm like, no, my so-called mask is that, I don't even know what you call it. Kind of like a dead face. I remember Nirvana had. Kind of like, I can't. Remember was one of the t shirts, and somebody asked me one time I was inspired from Nirvana. I'm like, no, has nothing. To do with Nirvana. Who I do like, took me. Years to, like, realize one day, actually, I like Nirvana, have a bunch of their music at home. I like Kurt Cobain. Rest in peace, man. Anyhow, my my symbol, you know, it's like to two exes with the kind of like a big mouth. I don't know what it is. Sometimes call it the dead face, but it's just. A, symbol I use a lot. I draw it with my logo. And, speaking of that, I recently one of my old friends, got Ahold of me. We were was friend of mine on Instagram. I had. No clue who it was because his name. Was like, Number I, I don't really know anybody on there that uses their real names. Even some of. These actresses and people I follow, it's probably not even their real names. This was. Which is fine. But anyhow, so this friend of mine gets a little bit. He tells me who he is, like, oh, this is your old friend Blaine from Renton, Washington. And I was like, whoa. Because the funny, the weird thing is that I was thinking about that guy. I always wonder what happened to him, because it's been like over 20 years and so anyways, he tells me who he is and he's like, yeah, man. I drove up the see the earwigs at one of the noise fests and I talk to you and you're really cool, real friendly. And I was like, wow, man, I was flattered, you know, because I'm not that great. And I appreciate, though, the kind words that people say, like, you know, I do. I get emails sometimes I, your friends like, oh, you're a legend. And I don't know, I, I don't like. To think that I am. I mean, yeah, I've been around for a long time. I've been around for quite a while. In August of, this year, 20, 24, 34 years. Man. I've quit many times, but I just can't seem to quit, you know, completely. So I keep coming back, you know. In one way or another. Well, anyhow, so my buddy Blaine says, dude, you know, I don't think it's big. Kind of rough, you know, with the earwigs. You said you have a recording problem. So I have, I have a four track for you. Is brand new. Is still. Just give me your address. And I was like, yeah, right. And I'm thinking, you know. Right. Anyhow, yes. Before I address, I said, I'll send it Thursday. Well, I swear that you sent a message, a really long message back, like, wow, man, you know, thanks a lot. Hey, great to hear from you. And I was like, yeah, I've got to back in touch with my other. Well, he got back. He got in touch with me. My friend Will with biggie from Heavy Haul podcast, which, I did that episode. That was a lot of fun. I hope to do another one sometime. Things will, but two different friends here from 20 years ago. Got back in touch with me. I'm like, Holy. Crap, what do I was? So I said in this message, or so I thought I did. And then I went back to check in like, oh, because he said, yeah, I'll send you, what do you call it. A tracking, number. And it turns out, I swear I said it. But anyways, long story short, I got it Tuesday. I did send him another message. And I was. Like, man, things are pretty. Much what I'd said before. So I got it. And I'll be honest with I was disappointed because. I thought it was a. Cassette. For track. It's a test scam, digital for. Track, like A000. Four. And but the other day, I think it was like Wednesday. I got it Tuesday. And I'm just this this new medicine I'm taking is. Making me even more tired. I mean, just can't get out so much. I'm tired of it, man. I'm tired. I take ten pills a day. Plus, it's supposed to be taken my vitamins. Keep forgetting to take those, or I'm just too lazy to take them dark. So I got it. I got the, took it out of the box and everything, and I forced myself to go upstairs. I messed around with it. I almost gave up because I could not. Figure out how to work it. I turned it on, I turned off, I did all the stuff. Well, I finally figured it out. I'm still not 100% sure how to work it, but I'm getting closer, and I'm grateful for it, man. So thank you, man. Thank you very much for this. And I did record, like, a 12 second song. It's crap. I might keep it trying to figure out now how to make. Files. And I all I did was. Like a bunch of mouth sounds, but I'm planning on. Utilizing. Different instruments. I've got my. Trombone. I'm going to do some noise with that, try to loop it or something. Anyhow, very excited to have that. I'm still trying to get my hands. On a on an actual like, oh four track. Or maybe if I could get mine. Fixed, if it doesn't cost too much, I'll find out. But I still want to get a tape duplicator. Be kind of nice. Wednesdays get like a CD duplicator because I have one over CD you burner, but only does one at a time, which. Is better than absolutely nothing. But. So what is the theme to this episode? I was going to I was going to talk about the hostility of people in this town. And I'm like, you know what? I'm feeling generally more positive. I'll probably say that for another episode. Why Waste. My Time talks about. Bypolls. See you. That's beat me out of there, buddy. I don't mind guzzling an episode. Something gets beeped. That's fine. I think it's actually hilarious. It kind of fits the. I don't know, the whole 18. 84 thing. But, yeah, I'm. I'm I'm really trying, man. Like I said. Last few episodes I keep mentioning about, you know, my diabetes. I'm taking a. New, pill. Let's go. Like flip a Zoid or something. I glazed glimpse as good. Something that I'm taking that, every day now, along with all my other pills. I am trying to, I'm working on ideas for. A new comic book I want to do. Funny thing is, I still haven't even. Finished my last two. Three. Actually, three one's going to be. Is more of a fanzine slash comic. It's. I got art and a bunch of ridiculous comics. I did like about. Oh, God. Well, five. Years ago, I think it was been. About five years, maybe longer than that. Anyhow, I can't force myself to be creative, but I am trying to do stuff and I do appreciate all the kind words that I get from people. I'm talking to kind of. Slow mo because I'm just. I'm pretty tired right now. It's now. Saturday. I'm just kind of zoned out. I've been really, really, really, really tired. Just working, taking my pills, trying to drink a lot of water. Been watching. What was it last week or so? I'm trying to catch. Back up. On on. The show black sells, which is excellent. That's a really kick ass show. Very violent, gory, sexual. Really cool. Takes. Place during, you know, time of pirates lives. Really cool show I've been watching. I think I'm at. Season six now. Married with children. I've been watching, I got to be. In slow. About the Ranking of Kings, which is a really cool anime. It's very sweet. It's also really sad. It's, Just really, it's good. Cromarty High School I was getting really into. And then also my kind of. Zone now, and I haven't watch. I need to catch back up before it gets too late for I forget what's going on. Although each episode is like, you know. You're not really you know, it kind of. Does. It goes in ordered episodes is pretty ridiculous. And I keep forgetting I got the live action. I can't. Remember if I have it in my. Room or if I need to bring it downstairs, but I really want to watch the live action again. I've I've had it for years. I watched it once. It was frickin hilarious. What else? I've been watching bubble gum Crisis about a couple of. Years, but I get the Blu ray collection, and I'm. Hoping to. Eventually get the bubble gum crush. And then I got to watch ad police again. I have that, I have. The old. Big box DVD collection of that. And I had today, but. Yeah, actually, take a look at that today. Yesterday, if anybody out there is you're familiar with with those, crazy guys, Astron six, frigate love. Astron six. They, unfortunately, broke up for their collector there. You know, like six guys from Canada. There was, like, six guys. Made a whole bunch of films, a lot of fake trailers. Trailers are awesome. Like, guys, I'm trying to think Fire man. I can't do it. What is it? I've got the films. The Void, although that's like. I believe that's post Astron six. Okay? Like movies, like, you know, Father's Day. God, I can't remember the name of that movie they did. It's one was set in the future, and he's like, Nazi vampire monsters to go. There's I. I almost remember. The name of. It. But anyways, I have a bunch. Of their stuff. What was my point? So one of the dudes, Matthew Kennedy, did a hilarious, morbid, demented, ridiculous, very entertaining. It's a whole bunch of episodes. Kind of you can watch. It is like one. 49 minute, kind of like a movie. Really? I don't. Know, it's. Just it's really low budget. It's really cool. It's called Divorced. Dad. I watched it again today. It was just fantastic. It reminds me a little bit of, favorite watch memory hole, which I was talking to without really. Talk to me. I love the message with one of my my buddies, Ron Ramirez. Earlier, I was telling how. Hilarious he is. He's awesome. Dude. A Ron. And, I was saying, yeah, man, memory Hole. Is awesome. But I thought memory hole and everything is terrible. We're the same company. And then I. Find out not only are they not, barely, they are not friends with one another. And allegedly, everything is terrible as accused memory hole. Ripping them off, which I think is a load of crap. It's like. Yeah, well, you got all your videotapes. From. What was a stupid, Got. America. Was it on. America's Got Talent? You know, I, I can't remember today, but a show now was fricking. It was terrible guy. Well, what was it called? God. Wow. Now I feel like I'm doing some. Demented comedy, I cannot remember. That was a stupid video. America's not America's got talent. America's home videos, or, You know what? I'm tired of people. I have an excuse. It's been about a very long time. I don't have my computer right now, so I can't get on it. Oh, what's the with it, anyways? It was a stupid show. It was hosted. By Bob Saget in the beginning. And I thought it was dumb because it was supposed to be all wholesome. And mostly I remember little kids kicking their dads in a balls, and, then later on, they had another host. Oh, God. He reminds me. Yeah, it was it was it Jim Brown or what? It was. Oh. Oh, it looks like that's gotta hurt because the kid was always kicking it down a balls of my. This isn't funny. This is stupid. And thankfully, we didn't really sit there. We we changed the channels for terrible. But, so yeah, they got all their videos from, I don't know, somebody that worked there and then. But the thing is, I love everything is terrible. I'm not slamming on them. But the thing is, their stuff is more wacky and Memory Hole. Is, like. More creepy. And I think it's cool that they actually the. Soundtrack's on them. Most of them, maybe all of them, I don't know, are done by like, experimental artists. Like, does one, What is it called, the Power of Satan or something? I can't remember what it's called. But shows like crosses falling down and all. This weird stuff happening in church. This is ridiculous. You know, a whole video look and stuff. And it's got this really cool. Creepy, like, soundtrack playing in the background. And, But no, I think it's I love them both. And what was my point? That's what, divorce. Dad reminds me of. Or something like the. The series, the VHS series, which I absolutely love. That's that's one of my very top. Favorite, found footage horror series. And I don't care what anybody says, I think they're all great. I think they all are unique and. Excuse me, I wish I could. Do something like that. I probably could, I don't know. I, I keep thinking about. Like, my my. I really want to make some really creepy, weird. Videos of good ideas. I just don't execute them. That's just me, you know? I'm old. Talk. I'm surprised I'm doing this, to be honest with you. And, I what want to like to quote from. Grown, but I'm not going to although it was funny because. You know, one on one. Of his live albums. He's like going off on. Audience and he goes, as long. As I don't take a shit on stage, I got your money. And I got to stand there and I got beat off all night and I got your money. And if you don't like, you can leave. And, as long as I don't take a shit, it's. Like, well. Yeah, but if you're masturbating on stage two, you're going to be kicked out for that too. Buddy was anyways. So I'm thinking, yeah, you know what? These people are like, oh, who's this blithering idiot? And he said something like that on what it shows you. You just a blithering idiot. Oh, yeah. I got your money. Well, I don't have anybody's money here, but I will stay. I will state here that, if you donate any money, you get some cool buttons band. My buddy Tim, the producer of this show, this fine show. Hey, how you doing? This fine show, sir and madam, I'm delirious. You get right now, there's three different. Buttons, so. You'll get them. And I think they're very cool. And I'm very grateful. Thanks, man. They look really awesome. And, I. Did talk to Tim. It's Tim's. Listen to this right now. I don't know when he's. Listen to do it sometime in the. Near, very near future. Is I talking to him? See if we could get some earwigs buttons made. And I think that'd be really great. And, before I go on with this. Episode, try. And do let me see if I can find this. Real fast on my. On my phone. Okay. I'm walking towards my phone. Shoot. Let me pick it up. A message from the producer of the show. Okay. Hold on, hold on. I know it's a it's a pause. Station identification. Okay, let me find it, bruh. This is it. This might be it. Okay, ladies and gentlemen. Right. Okay. So I just wanted to make an announcement here. So anybody listed to the show, you can now, you know, we're on fart book, as I like to call it, Facebook. So here's the quote for you folks out there. We'll read them and I will respond. That's the way to get it bigger, I guess. And also, I still I want to thank whoever over in Japan, voted for this show. I really appreciate that. It means a lot to me. I'm a huge fan of of Japanese cinema, especially the crazy stuff. You know. And I'm not talking. Just, you know, Godzilla and Gamera. And. Ultraman, but. Also, you know, like my heroes, Shinya Tsukamoto, Takashi Meka, Kenji Fuca Saku. Oh, man. Seon sono and, I apologize, the gentleman that did, God, I can't remember his name right now. He did. Nine, six, four. Pinocchio and Rubber's lover, which are two of my very favorite cyberpunk films. A crazy man. You want to see something crazy? Nine. Six four Pinocchio, which has been out of print for a while. That was put out on DVD many, many years ago. That and Rubber's lover, it was a cyberpunk. You could get it in a collection. I got them separate, but, was rereleased on DVD many years ago on Unearthed Films, who I absolutely love. And no, Steven, I'm not kissing your ass. But I love on Earth. I have a lot of stuff. A lot of the stuff is very rare now. It's out of print, but hopefully, I, there have been films getting rereleased on Blu ray, For a while now. To which I was very excited about Evil Dead Trap, which at first one is this guy that's one of the best Japanese. Horror films. And despite the name, no, it's. Not an Evil Dead rip off. It. The were the only thing I'm going to say that has com in common with with Evil Dead. Of course to speak of the original Evil Dead is some of the camera angle. The way the camera shot from behind the character is like moving fast through the tunnels and stuff. As most of the film takes place on this, all the band and, bass and it's a great movie and I like the sequel. I know some people don't really like it. I don't like it as much as the first one, but Evil Dead Trap two is pretty cool. And, supposedly, Chris, when I read something that there was a third one. So hopefully my good friend Mr. Steven Biro, or I. Believe it's pronounced Buro. If it's not, I apologize buddy. Who knows, maybe that'll. Come out someday. Also rooting and, I would love if I could get a petition going, but, you know, we really need out on Blu ray, or at least a rerelease on DVD is the original Japanese guinea pig. We need. Because that is so damn expensive. Now, man, you look it up, it's. Like, Holy smoke. Yes. For the few people out there that know that I bought that when it first came out, I got the DVD set. I actually, got it at Best Buy. And now, unfortunately, because of, two different floods I had at this dump. I lived at. It wrecked my covers. I had them in a box, wrecked the covers. And the funny thing is, I had all the covers and somebody was telling me, just take, iron, heat it up, you know, put it under a thin towel, iron them, flatten them out. I'm like, okay, well, if that's what I gotta to do, fine. Then it turns out I have no clue what happened, but one of the covers literally disappeared. I have no clue. I've looked over and over and over. I have tried everything. I've gone online trying to find companies where you can pay, you know, a little bit of money and get, you know, a reproduction of a cover. I've even asked friends if they have the box set, if they could just make, you know, a double sided cover. I will pay you $10. I would pay, you know, just to get a new, new composite cover. I don't care if it's a copy, as long as it's a really good mint copy. That I can. Put in my cases with my DVDs. I still need to clean the box. The old box. And I never knew that there was an interior cover. And I've had this set for a very long time. Anyhow. Yeah. It sucks. I've had to replace a lot of stuff. I've lived at this place, for about almost nine months, and I had to replace many films in my collection. I'm still replacing films. You know, like I get the All Night Long trilogy. I found that again. I end up, I found it the damaged one again. The discs were fine, but the covers all screwed up. So I saw that to my roommate, and I gave him a pretty good. Deal on it, because that sucker is pretty expensive. It's another one of those out of print. But I, I had to replace a lot of mecha. That really hurt. I ended up with some doubles, and I gave them to one of my friends who lost a lot of his films when he used to live in Spokane, because there was, he had black mold in his basement. You know, not only would the landlord not do anything about it, he gave my friend, presented him with an eviction notice, and my buddy just gave up, and he's now in Olympia with his lovely, cool wife, who's also a good friend. And. But I know how it is. You know, you try to help friends, and. You lose stuff and hopefully, you. Know, you can help people, and. But anyhow, here's hoping for a rerelease of, Guinea Pig. And I will not buy the bootleg. There's a bootleg Blu ray collection, and apparently it has one more guinea pig film that has never been released in the United States. Except for a bootleg. I keep thinking it's it's Lucy in the Sky with diamonds, and it's a song that's like a song. But anyways, the title's. Kind of like that. And I was tempted at first like, oh, maybe I should just buy that Blu ray, but why should I? Because it's a bootleg and part of me understands why it's out, because it's really hard to find the guinea pig series now. But anyways, my whole thing here is not about guinea pig. What is my whole point? Wow. See, here I go again, losing track of what I was talking about. I'm just sitting here, zoned out. Man. Where were we going? Back to. Japan. Yes. So thank you. I'm all over the place with films from Japan. I have a very, very big collection of films. I have a lot of predominantly. Horror, but I also have. A really huge Godzilla collection, and I have every Gamera. Film. I've made. Those are ones I ended up finally finding that trilogy that came out many years ago. I got the Blu ray set and then ended up getting. The. Original. Gamera series. You know, all of those and, collection also. But I have a lot of Japanese films. I've got, you know, some whimsical stuff. I'm not. And not all of it. Is, sci fi or horror. I'm trying to remember the name of that series I have. It's, Oh. Mika. Mika. Mika hammer. Mika hammer. It's a detective series. And the first film. Part of the reason why I was really excited about it is Tsukamoto is an artist. He plays a bad guy. It's been a while since I watched it, but, It's a it's a trilogy. And I got the DVD set years ago, but. Now I just do something very special about Japanese films. I love them. And when I was a kid, you know, I was watching. I didn't see a. Lot, but. You know, some. Godzilla films and my, you. Know, Saturday afternoons they'd show them. And of course, they're always cut and dubbed, but they're still fun. But back then, when I was a kid, I always loved movies, but, you know, I wasn't as crazy. About them as I was. Years later. But I enjoyed them. I always love horror films, especially slasher films. There's a lot that I have now in my collection. I'm very. I cherish them very much. You know, like the burning, the the final terror, the mutilate or a lot of, like, classic, you know, the prowler, the stage fright pieces, the entire Friday the 13th collection, which, I gotta say, my cut off point. Is right after Jason takes Manhattan. I mean, that's kind of a weak movie, but it's still fun. But that's like my cutoff point. I watched the set again, and I gotta tell you. I thought Freddy versus Jason was frickin terrible. Jason Goes to Hell really bored. The crap out. Of me. And the remake. It's funny, the first time I saw the so-called remake, I didn't. Really like it. Then I liked it. But the last time I saw it, I thought it was really boring and like, you know, you guys and I don't even remember. I'm trying to think. Of there's another. Oh, yeah. Jason X had to be the worst that I was frickin terrible. But the first eight. And if you want me to be really hardcore. The first. Four one, two. Three D and the final chapter are absolutely the best. Although I really, I like, I like I can't even really. Say that I. Made the first. Eight, man. Let's just say the first eight, because the new blood is great. That's a fun one. That's like the. Most vicious for me that Jason's, especially when he's getting his head crushed. By LA Park Lincoln. And then all of a sudden. You know, he takes his. Hockey mask off and he literally roars. I mean, that was just beautiful, that vicious. And he looked just. Awesome, like, all rotten and crazy and. A fun movie. And of course, the one that lead awesome to. Brag on or it's not. Geez. And then the whole wolves, God was a the new beginning. I you know, you think. I know I've seen a movie. Probably more times than. Any Friday the 13th, but. Hey, Roy, let's. Get our hands dirty. That one is just great. I love that one. I thought that was a great one. Although the way. It. And I was like, what? Where are you? Tommy came back. But they didn't really. It was. Just. Anyways, a lot of great slasher films. I'm still reeling. From, though the, the Japanese film I mentioned. That was it the last episode? Thanks again, Jeff, for turning. Me on in that movie. Bloody muscle bodybuilder in hell. God, that. That movie was so. Good, man. And just, you know. But I'm still going to laugh and, or to rip off for Evil Dead. Well, Evil Dead rip off Equinox as well as, Evil Dead too. So go look it up, folks. Go look it up, criterion put it out. I think I already mentioned that, so I'm not going to get into that. So, But yeah, my life just movies, man. You know, since I was a kid. Saw The. Texas Chainsaw Massacre at the tender age of three, and I drove a theater, and apparently my mom. Made the guy that I was named after because it wasn't my biological dad. But anyways. Made us, made him, not made us. She made him take us home. I did see years later, I had, I end up, I had a VHS. I wish I still had it. I gave it to my buddy. I don't think he has it anymore. I don't know. Kind of a cool cover. And I keep thinking there is something. Wrong with the tape. I don't know, maybe there was either. It's been a long time, but. Now if I ever find that on. VHS again, I'll buy it because I love Texas Chainsaw Massacre. In fact, I have a little kind of like a shrine. I've had a Leatherface figure I have. I read some of the comic books. I need to dig. Those out and like, put them with my DVD and Blu rays. But I have that old. Steelbook. It's like, Was it a two disc, 2 or 3 disc set? Really cool cover. And then we getting a steelbook. I actually. Have two copies that I don't know why, but. I have two copies of the steelbook. Blu ray. And then I have another. It's like this remastered, Texas Chainsaw Massacre. And then I've got the documentary. That came out years ago. And, you know. It's funny, I've never seen. It again, but I was at Hastings years ago. I got it for $2. I should have grabbed more. I, I used to think. About it in hindsight. If I could go back in time, I'd buy the whole stack. But that this deal. It was like, family portrait documentary. And I snagged it. I was like, oh, heck yeah. And then there was this, oh, come. On, come on, come on. Yui Bell, come on. Oh my God, pardon me. House of the dead. Oh my God, I can't believe I forgot his name. Come on, he's the boxer to beat up all those critics. Anyways, the guy that, you. Know, House of the. Dead, postal. My brain is not working right now. I remember later. Anyhow, they had a movie. By him for $2. Also, it. Was loosely based. On the Columbine. I cannot remember the name of the movie, I own it, I just don't remember the name. I keep saying it. It's called Heart of Darkness. It's not, but it's based loosely on Columbine, these two kind of golf kids being picked on. And of course, I don't have a major school shooting. It was actually a really good movie. I really enjoyed it and I cannot believe I forgot the director. Same thing as I like some of his movies. I personally. Like House. Of the dead. If you've ever played you know these people. Old movie is so cheesy. Yeah it is. It's a it's an extreme cheese fest. But here's the thing. If you've ever played the games, they have some of the cheesiest dubbing and they're completely ridiculous. So all he was. Doing was sort of interpreting from the game. And I love the games. I'm a big fan of House of the dead. I like the movie and I just wow, as I speak to you on my zoom here, I know people. Probably laugh, or maybe. You don't even know what I'm talking about. Oh God, I'll remember his name later. But, God, he's made so. Good stuff, man. Not all of this stuff sucks, and I get really tired of, I mean, BloodRayne, I admit I've never watched it. I love Kristanna Loken. I think she's beautiful, but, I loved her in Terminator three. Say what you want. I think that's a pretty cool movie. Anyhow. BloodRayne, I. Watched a rerun. Yeah. Frickin terrible. But you know what? She's beautiful. Wasn't a big. Fan of the game either. I had the game. It was just too hard read. Just kind of dumb. You know, I kind of like the concept of the character. But anyways. Yeah, this is gonna. This is going to drive me nuts. I can't believe I forgot the name of the. Director, but I'm going on and repeat myself. Moving on. Movies are my life. I love comic books. I really need to get off my butt. Go back to the comic book shop. I've been there in a while. They're probably wondering what happened to them. I'll be back, guys, I swear. I know I got up by a big giant pile. I been going to the comic book shop here in Spokane. Washington since 1988, so I just want to give a big shout out to Craig. And, my buddy that works are actually a couple buddies are working two really good dudes. I hope they're doing good. I am going to go back. I need to pick up my comics, see what, more Funko Pop figures you guys have. And, on a side note, I also. Want to give a big kiss my backside. To the people that just keep dissing on me. We click through like, yeah, I do. I'm not a hardcore collector. I'm kind of, I'm picky. Which is a good idea. Because there's too much. But I, I made it collecting, like, you know, the Harley. Quinn and Wonder Woman. Grogu, some of the Mandalorian stuff. Batman. There's a couple of Batman's, is probably a lot of Batman's, but I'm. I'm I'm I'm trying to get all the ones. From, like, the Batman Returns. Joker. That's like. That's mainly what I have in my collection. Of course I have stuff. I have all the figures from The Batman, which I really like. That movie loved it a lot. Robert. Hope I'm getting his name right. Patterson I thought he made a. Really great Bruce Wayne and Batman. At least people are bitching about. Oh, he's so emo. It's like, yeah, he's like the youngest Bruce Wayne slash. Batman that we've had. And so his parents would have. I wouldn't have been as long. As he has. I don't think he was all emo. They were you workrooms or like, because someone, he. Wears a mask, you don't see his, flesh around his eyes. Too. Anyhow, Comic book job is cool. They have a lot of cool stuff. I highly recommend it. They get so much stuff. Like a little mystery figure. Lots of models from Japan. That is Sailor Moon figure. I wanted to get really bad. I think I might have missed out, but you never know. From I have her again. She's beautiful. So, the first Sailor Moon ad I've been collecting. I've only got the. First two seasons. They just came out with season five. I'm like, God, I'm behind. But, I love that. I think that anime is great. That's another one. I need to get back into. It because Overwatch. Nine, I will watch that a couple months. But, you know, movie wise, shoot, I just I just watched. Dune part two. And I frickin loved it. I thought it was great. It was, beautifully shot. And, I mean, I know there's a lot of digital stuff. CG, whatever. It looks great. I really enjoyed it. I think the casting is really, really good. The only thing. That I'm a little still a little bit confused is that, it's not spoiling anything, but if you've read, an. Original novel, Paul's. Love Chani. Her father is Lee at kinds, the, planet's allergist, who ended up becoming a Fremen. But he's like the emperors. You know the planets as well. He dies, of course, in the first movie, they put him out in the desert. He dies. In the David Lynch. Version was Max von side. Now, and I can't remember some other. Guy in the mini series, but. Then in this. One, it's a tall black woman. Now, I don't have a problem with the, you know. The racing water. I know some people have issues with that. I just thought it was kind of weird. As like, it's a lady now was a guy. It would have made more sense. But so apparently obviously that's not Chinese father in a story. And, you know, some people, you know. You could bitch, I could complain, whatever. Each version of. Dune is not a remake of the previous film or whatever. They're all based on the book. Each director that's gone on. Has changed a few things around, but anyways, I enjoy them all. I'm actually really close to watching David Lynch's Dune again. I love that frickin movie. Of the. Old, steelbook. Really nice DVD. And then I got the Arrow Blu ray, which is really cool. But I love that movie, and I like the mini series here. The mini series. I have the uncut version. Director's cut. I still need to get Children of Dune. I saw it once. I was. Pretty. Yeah, it's definitely a bigger production than the first dune. The first dune. It's always kind of low. Budget, but it was still pretty cool. It's like a lot of stage actors in it. And like. The only person I. Had I personally recognized was two dozen as William Hurt plays. Duke and. Treaties and the miniseries, which is like was about six hours. Long. It's pretty cool. There's a lot more to it, because David Lynch really didn't get to. Do as much as he wanted. And apparently that's. What really, pushed him away. From Hollywood, which I don't blame them. Because. While after that is when he did Blue Velvet, which of course is one of the greatest films ever made. But I don't care what anybody says, I, I'm a huge Dune fan. I love Frank. Herbert. I love absolutely got nothing but love for David Lynch's take on Dune. I'm not a big fan of the director's cut, and it's funny because in the director's cut it. Says directed by Alan. Smithee. If you see that name, I mean. The director wanted nothing to do with it, and I don't blame them. It's not terrible, but it's kind of I want to it's like I actually prefer the theatrical version, before. They tweaked it around, you know, mini series is great. The new Dune is excellent. I don't know if they're going to make a third one. I need to look it up. But it the only thing I'm going to say. And, this may be a spoiler. So for the next 30s 10s, I'm, I want to plug your ears. But the whole thing about, Paul's. Mother, you know, she's pregnant with with Aleah, his sister. Well, because, you know, she obviously she takes the water life. But it's kind of weird that by the time the movie ends, she's still bringing that. Yet this kid is. Growing, like, like, rapidly. And speaking to her mother. You know, from the womb. And it's like, you know, if she have. Already been born. So, I mean, and the way it ends. Is just like in the first book. So because you had to divide this into two because the movie so long and then they brought in fade. And then of course of the beautiful princess. I. Ruined. Which, Really lovely to. See, Florence. Pugh Puga Puig. I think it's Puig I she's she's beautiful. I love her, God, she looks great now. Movie and then a verse. And verse played by Christopher Walker, which was a real, real surprise. I was like, wow. But it's a cool movie. I love all the scenes where the, the. Fremen are attacking the spice harvesters. That was really, really cool. And it went on a little bit longer than in Lynch's version. But I still. Love I love that whole scene. In two standard years, the Fremen attack, the Harkonnen spice. Far was it spice harvesters bringing, spice harvesting to a near stop? I mean, yeah. Or I saw and, So this episode is. A little bit longer. I was told by my buddy. If you want, you can make your episodes longer. Hey, you know, here's the thing. If you listen to my show, and if it gets too tedious, you know, you can always pause it. Come back. Later. But I'm probably going to. End this in a little bit. Just zoning out. Like I said, I'm tired. It's not an excuse. It's truth. But I hope, and thank everyone for. Your kind words. It means a lot to me. Thank you for supporting the show. And, you know, if you if you would seriously get any questions. I mean. Whatever, man. Leave leave some comments. We'd really. Appreciate it. I know Tim would, and I. Definitely would because I. Appreciate, you know, constructive criticism, insults. I don't care you say the show stinks and maybe it does. You know, a show that like. I really I love the I still love those guys, but let's say like, Was it last podcast on the left? They're focused, man. They're all, you know, that's the thing is, there's so many different podcasts about. Different subject matters. Other gardening music, movies, whatever. Mine is all over the place. It is called 19. You know, the be on the podcast in. 1984 because that's where my mind is still stuck. I was one of the greatest years. Of my life, had some bad times. But more good times. And there's gonna be a lot more. Stories about that time. Just time on different people I've. Known throughout my life. Movies, anime, music, noise. I got a lot more stories to tell you, about the early days of, the underground scene and all that, you know, tape trading and, cassette labels and all that awesome stuff. And I'm grateful that people are still putting out tapes. I don't, I'm not a big tape guy anymore, but I. I think it's cool. Kind of prefer CDs a little bit more. It's funny because about 20 years ago now, 30 years ago, I hated CDs, and my buddy can attest to that. So anyhow, yeah. And I know I was starting to say something. And I got a brain fart. So I do. I hope you've enjoyed this episode. Thank you all for your kind words and, you know, we we appreciate any comments. Or I also want to give a big thank you and hello to my friend Jason. Evil. Got some really cool art from. My friend and I hope to use it for upcoming episodes because, you know, each time I sent him some. Wacky pictures, I got more to say and I got more pictures to take. I got, you know. I don't know if I want to see a. Themed episodes kind of have themes. Not really. This is another kind of, Well, what is this one about? Oh, yeah. I started out talking about the tattoos of Ginger, and then I got into. Was I want to get up to, talking about. A little bit about guinea. Pig. Not a whole lot, but talking about. Movies, you know? And then we got into a big thing about Dune. Why I got it. Not we. Who's we, sucker. But I did, and then now, like I said, there's more episodes upcoming. Are they going to be concise? I don't know, I'm sure there's going to be episodes where I'm just going to get right into it, like the long promised WTF zombies. That one is going to be crazy. That one's definitely going to be about an hour. It's going to be fun. I will be doing that in the presence of my. Movie collection, so I don't have to try to guess. And my world will remember the director's name. And, Oh, and by the way, real fast, before I forget. Before this episode ends. You rebel. You rebel gentleman that did. House of the dead. The guy that gets vilified so much. Well, let me tell you something, Hughie. I enjoy some of your films. I don't. Think you're the worst director. Ever. And I want to thank you if you ever hear this episode. I'm a fan. I also enjoy some Michael Bay films. I don't know, maybe I should just. Do an up for sometime about directors of people take a crap on. I think even the. Worst directors could do something cool. I mean, you know. But whatever. Teach their own, to make a movie that that takes. Talent, man. To take something to make it. That's what I'd like to do. We got our Blu ray coming out later this year with all of our films include. One of my very first. Things I ever. Did, my attempt to make it a slasher film, which is absolutely terrible. But I'm also proud of it because whatever, you know. Start out somewhere and, hope to make more. And we'll definitely be more episodes upcoming. Of course, if you listen to this, that means next week there will be another episode. I don't know what it's going to be. A lot of people heard next episode. Well, I don't have it planned out. So let's be mad. Charles, the bizarre alien from outer space. And I want to say thank you. You take care of yourselves, people. I'll give a big shout out to my friends. My family love you all. My dream woman. If you're listening to this, please come home. Take me away for a while. I love you. What else? So, yeah, I guess that's it. I'm mumbling, I'm rambling. I'm going to get the heck out. Of here now. I wish I could say I was getting on a big ship taken off, you know, some big, giant freighter ship taking me away. But that's not the case. So. Yeah. Until next time. Keep watching the skies. Stay sick. Take care. Don't forget to change your underwear. And as always. Since 1988. As I always. Say, keep the filth. Laters. Bra.
